David Archuleta, of American Idol fame, is expected to appear in a local television series by TV5, which will also star Jasmin Curtis-Smith and Eula Caballero.
“The signing of Archuleta is seen to further boost the attempts of TV5, currently the third biggest broadcasting network in the Philippines, to climb up the rankings,” says InterAksyon.com.
Archuleta has previously announced that he will be taking a two-year hiatus from his music career to become a Mormon missionary

TV5 opens 2012 with a delightful pasabog with the announcement that David Archuleta of the “American Idol” fame is due to arrive this week and it is not for a singing engagement. TV5 has signed up the teenage heartthrob to do a primetime teleserye. Such a move will definitely be welcomed by countless fans of David who are so kilig everytime they hear him sing.
